Where Fatherhood Meets Family Legacy

About the Brand
At Kings & Kinfolks, we believe Black fatherhood is powerful, present, and worthy of honor. We exist to shift the narrative — to uplift the beauty, strength, and love found in Black fathers and the families they lead.
Our apparel tells a story — of legacy, pride, and connection. Every design is a tribute to the everyday kings raising their kin with courage, commitment, and care.
Kings & Kinfolks is for the dads who show up, for the grandfathers who paved the way, for the uncles, brothers, and father-figures building generational love and legacy.
We honor Black fathers. We celebrate Black families. We wear it proudly.

About the Owner
Brianna P. Lemmons, Ph.D., MSW is an Associate Professor in the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work at Baylor University. She is also the Founder and President of the Black Female Fatherhood Scholars Network (BFFSN)—a network of Black female practitioners, academicians, students, and policy analysts committed to uplifting Black fathers and families through research, education and training. Dr. Lemmons earned her doctorate in social work and master’s degree in social work from Howard University School of Social Work and her bachelor's degree in psychology from Spelman College. She dedicates this store and her work in the field of fatherhood to her own father, George H. Lemmons, Jr., who she feels extremely blessed to call “daddy.”
Meet Our Brand Ambassadors
Our brand ambassadors are not just wearing our message, they are living it. Kings and Kinfolks Brand Ambassadors are real Black fathers and father figures who lead with presence, love, and purpose. Ambassadors help us change the narrative by providing input on apparel designs and messaging, wearing our apparel with pride, sharing their stories and fatherhood journeys, inspiring others to honor the legacy of Black fatherhood, and helping us grow a community of truth, strength, and love. When our ambassadors speak, show up, and stand tall, they help the world see what Black fatherhood really looks like.

Conial Caldwell, Jr., Ph.D.
Conial is a proud father from Pensacola, FL. For him, Black fatherhood means being physically and emotionally available to love, protect, and guide the next generation. He represents Kings and Kinfolks Apparel Co. because it aligns with his mission to highlight the presence, history, and love of Black fathers/fatherhood. His favorite Kings and Kinfolks t-shirt is "The Girlfather" because he is a girl dad. Conial believes that fatherhood is about showing up fully, breaking cycles, and building legacies.

J. Dontae Roberts, Ph.D.
J. Dontaè Roberts is a proud father from Landover, MD. For him, Black fatherhood is a form of resistance, healing, and narrative reclamation. He represents Kings & Kinfolks Apparel Co. because he seeks to challenge the myths that often pathologize Black fathers. His favorite shirt from the brand is "Sneaker Head Dad: Like A Regular Dad... But More Fresh" because he believes dads should not have to choose between being engaged with their families, being educated, and looking fresh! Dontaé believes that fatherhood is the highest honor bestowed upon him and he wears the message of the brand for every man who is unsure of himself in his role as a father.

Corey Tolliver, Sr., LCSW
Corey Tolliver is a proud father of two from Alexandria, Virginia. For him, Black fatherhood means being consistent even when it’s inconvenient, leading with love, and breaking cycles by example. He represents Kings and Kinfolks Apparel Co. because the message matches the way he lives--rooted in truth, accountability, and legacy. His favorite shirt is “Dear Teachers” because it speaks to the quiet strength of fathers who show up every day, even when no one’s watching. Corey believes that fatherhood is both a responsibility and a revolution, and he’s wearing the message for every Black father reshaping the narrative with presence, purpose, and pride.
